Manning the Rails in Millington - Lone Sailor is coming to Millington!

Millington has an incredible opportunity on the horizon!

The City of Millington, Navy League of Memphis, and United States Navy Memorial Foundation have partnered on a once-in-a-lifetime initiative to bring the iconic Lone Sailor statue to our community.

With 19 Lone Sailor sites worldwide, Millington is proudly competing with New York City, Philadelphia, and Anchorage to become home to the 20th installation.

A powerful symbol of service, honor, courage, and commitment, the Lone Sailor pays tribute to the men and women who protect our freedoms—and stands as a beacon of inspiration for future generations. For our Navy community and the greater Millington region, it would be a defining point of pride.

The city has already committed land, funding, and resources for a premier site at the corner of Navy Road and Easley—envisioned as Millington’s “front porch” to the Navy Base and the gateway to our Historic District.

Millington Chamber Advertising Updates for 2026 and Beyond

Beginning in 2026, the Millington Chamber transition to a new advertising format designed to better showcase our members across the Chamber’s newsletter, website, and social media platforms. We will accept ad-sized images at 1500 x 788 pixels (maximum height of 1350 pixels) in PNG, JPG, SVG, or EPS formats.

Members unable to resize their ads are encouraged to use the Hot Deals section of their member profile to continue promoting their business.
